It seems as if the friendship between Asa Soltan Rahmati and Mercedes “MJ” Javid is still fractured, despite MJ’s apology. On Monday night’s episode of Shahs of Sunset, Asa confronted MJ about her mean behavior while at a leggings store. In her latest blog post for BravoTV.com, posted on Tuesday, Asa explained why she finally felt the need to tell MJ to change her behavior.
Asa explained that she wasn’t just sticking up for herself but also newcomer Asa Soltan Rahmati. Asa wrote that MJ is always rude and mean to pretty girls that come into the group because of her own insecurities. Asa’s statement may also have been a reference to former cast member Lilly Ghalichi, who left after two seasons on the show, during which she was often made fun of by MJ.
“As soon as we walked into the leggings store, MJ started dissing Asifa and also, as usual, throwing shade at me. I reached my boiling point with MJ being so rude and mean to pretty girls that come into our group. She does this every time. I’m a real girl’s girl and I’m not down with women tearing other women down because of their own insecurities.”
As for MJ’s tearful apology given to her later on in the episode, Asa pretty much said that it didn’t fix things. As she did in the episode, Asa expressed her opinion that MJ is like an abuser who apologizes and then will repeat her behavior. Asa also implied that MJ perhaps learned her behavior from her mom.
“Our friendship is not in a good place… She’ll literally treat me like s**t one night and then reach out to me the next morning (acting like nothing happened) when she feels lonely or vulnerable, and of course I am there for her…This is why I wasn’t jumping for joy when she apologized. Words are cheap. Let your actions speak…I think maybe to her this type of relationship is normal – to be loved and abused by the same person.”
Asifa Mirza agreed with Asa’s characterziation of MJ. In her own blog post, Asifa acknowledged that MJ can be “a very dangerous person” whom she’s still trying to understand.
“MJ can be a very dangerous person – one minute you think she is your friend, and the next she does something a friend would never do (something super hurtful). I am still trying to understand her and her motives…”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Mercedes “MJ” Javid recently denied that she’s jealous of Asa Soltan Rahmati.
“I’d be jealous if someone hits on my husband or my boyfriend. I would be jealous if my husband or boyfriend hits on any woman, stranger or friend. But with my friends I want us all to chill. We can fight as long as we make up.”
