Lindsay Lohan’s Feud With Her Mother May Spill Over Into Britain

Lindsay Lohan is in the news again. This time, Lindsay is on the right side of the law, or so she claims. Ms. Lohan has been fighting with her mother, alleging that Dina is flat broke and has been selling off Lindsay’s belongings over the internet. The younger Lohan claims that her mother is selling off items worth millions of dollars for her own financial gain.

Lindsay first became aware that Dina was selling her possessions through close friends, before Ms. Lohan did her own internet search to verify her mother’s online activities. Since learning the truth, Ms. Lohan has threatened to involve the police if Dina doesn’t stop liquidating Lindsay’s assets. In the meantime, TMZ reported that Ms. Lohan is hoping friends will intervene on her behalf and compel Dina to obey Lindsay’s wishes.

Lindsay is unable to intervene herself, because she has remained in England following her appearance on Speed-The-Plow. Sources report that Lindsay is feeling at home in England, happy to make London her new home, so it seems sensible that she has been reluctant to return to the U.S. just to deal with her troublesome mother.

Now it seems Ms. Lohan has discovered the reason her mother has been so desperate for money. Dina has been making claims that she was planning to move to the U.K. as well, in hopes of taking part in the new season of Celebrity Big Brother — news which has Lindsay Lohan even more distraught.

While the news seems to make sense for the reality show that tries to draw on U.S. talent and has, in the past, welcomed Perez Hilton, Gary Busey, and Evander Holyfield as guests, a representative for Dina Lohan has denied the assertions.

“Dina’s not in negotiations with the show at all,” the source said. “There is no truth in the rumours.”

Whether confirmed or not, the sudden news produced a prompt response from Lindsay with some sources saying that the rumor caused Ms. Lohan to “flip out.” Lindsay reportedly called her mother immediately, stating she had “no right” to come to England. The young celebrity has remained in the U.K., using the change of location to get a grip on her troubles with drug abuse and seems concerned that her mother’s arrival would possibly derail the progress she has made in the past year.

“I can go for a run here on my own. I do every morning, early, and I think how my friends in New York would still be up partying at that time,” Lindsay Lohan has said in interviews. “I needed to grow up and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else.”
