“Along with her two best friends, Perrette opened up Donna Bell’s Bake Shop in honor of her late mother’s Southern cooking. [The cookbook] features recipes and heartwarming stories about Donna Bell and the bakeshop’s history.”
Pauley Perrette’s cookbook was a labor of love, and Perrette is thrilled to have been able to put it together. Pauley spent many of her childhood days in the kitchen with her mom, Donna, who would always be cooking up something yummy. The actress decided to keep her mom’s memory alive by opening the bakery, and now releasing the cookbook. Many people have loved visiting Donna Bell’s, and to be able to have some similar recipes to make in their own homes is really wonderful.

Perrette lost her mom in 2002. According to NewsMax, the actress still misses her mom, and tries her best to do her proud, still inspired by her childhood, and by all of the memories that she has. This cookbook is just another way for Perrette to share her mom with the world, and that is something that is very near and dear to her heart.
“She was a wonderful lady. I lost her way too early. No matter how old you are, when you lose your mom you feel like an orphan.”
Pauley Perrette will be signing copies of her cookbook on a book tour in New York and Los Angeles.
