Bill O’Reilly Widely Criticized For Defending White People And Christians
Bill O’Reilly is under fire again. This time, it has nothing to do with his alleged lies and more to do with his politically incorrect language. The Huffington Post explains O’Reilly’s latest controversy.
“What are the most oppressed groups in America? If you guessed white men and Christians, then you might be a Bill O’Reilly viewer. ‘If you’re a Christian or a white man in the USA, it’s open season on you,’ O’Reilly said on ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ on Fox News Channel Monday night. That, he said, could work to the advantage of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.”
The left-wing political site Wonkette published a title that screamed, “Bill O’Reilly: Hillary Clinton To Murder All The Poor Christian White Men, Goodbye America.” They were even more sarcastic in their article about the Fox News anchor.
“The world’s greatest and bravest and most honest award-winning war correspondent and objective reporter, Bill O’Reilly, offered his own Hot Take on Hillary Clinton’s chances of beating all the Republicans to a bloody pulp in the 2016 election. In O’Reilly’s fair and balanced nonpartisan analysis, Clinton has the clear advantage, and the reason will amaze you!”
Bill O’Reilly is one of the many conservative anchors who is not happy about Hillary Clinton’s run for president. He, as well as others, feel that she’ll continue Obama’s policy of “free handouts” and victimization. Hillary Clinton already has a huge following in the gay community and her husband, ex-president Bill Clinton, was called America’s first black president.
Bill O’Reilly has spoken about what he considers an open war on white people before, but he is far more invested in his war on Christianity. During his show on April 3, 2015, O’Reilly talked about America turning her back on Christians.
“Here in the U.S.A., verbal attacks against Christians are the headlines. As we reported yesterday, some far-left people aided by a sympathetic media are now smearing Americans who oppose things like abortion and gay marriage. No question it is open season on Christians.”
Every Christmas, Bill O’Reilly talks about the “War on Christmas” and isn’t happy about schools and other places refusing to display Christmas ornaments. Around the same time, there is always a backlash against O’Reilly’s anger, which some say is really misguided.
Misguided or not, Bill O’Reilly still has a huge audience after almost 20 years as the host of The O’Reilly Factor. He sits right in front of fellow Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly in the ratings. Whether or not one agrees with Bill O’Reilly’s opinions, nobody can deny his impact on cable television news.
