Janelle Monae ‘Male Consumption’ Quote Goes Viral, As ‘Yoga’ Music Single Sizzles With Style [Video]

Janelle Monae responded to a Twitter troll with a “male consumption” comment that has gone viral. At the same time, the sexy singer’s “Yoga” single music video is shining in the spotlight generated by her spunky attitude, reported Time.

The social media melee began when a user tweeted his views on her preference for suits.

“girl stop being so soulful and be sexy..tired of those dumba** suits..you fine but u too damn soulful man.”

And Janelle promptly fired back with a succinct tweet that has now been retweeted nearly 2,500 times.

“sit down. I’m not for male consumption.”

Meanwhile, the new “Yoga” single features some instructional lyrics on an unusual way to regard the common yoga pose Downward Dog.

“Baby bend over, let your booty do that yoga.”

As to the reason for Janelle’s focus on suits? There’s a method behind that supposedly male-oriented style, reported the Huffington Post.

“It’s a dedication to uniformity and I’m a minimalist by heart,” revealed the singer.

“A lot of it had to do with me wanting to have a uniform like the working class, like my mom and my grandmother.”

The “Yoga” single is part of her Wondaland Presents: The Eephus work scheduled for release later this year, reported Verge.

Created with her label buddy Jidenna, the video and song feature a dance, as well as carefully designed yoga moves.

As for that focus on yoga? As the Inquisitr reported, Britney Spears is another pop singer who favors the flexibility, toning, and balance benefits of yoga.

Also believing in the virtues of yoga is Lady Gaga. The singer regularly posts workout selfies on Instagram showcasing her taut tummy, as she practices hot yoga. She trains with Sloan-Talor Rabinor, as revealed in Gaga’s social media posts.

“Workout #2 today hot yoga with @sloaner7 and Mariana in ChiTown #dontstoptillyougetenough.”

Gaga also trains with Tricia Donegan, who specializes in Bikram yoga, also known as hot yoga.

But Janelle isn’t just focusing on yoga music videos. In addition to her Wondaland Presents: The Eephus label compilation, Janelle will be included in Duran Duran’s new album, according to NME.

In addition to Monae, John Frusciante and Kiesza are anticipated to appear, and Lindsay Lohan may even show up. Duran Duran has a Warner Bros. deal for what will be their 14th LP.
