Meghan Trainor Partners With FullBeauty To Launch Full Figured Clothing Line

Meghan Trainor has a passion for fashion that enhances curvy figures. She blazed onto the music scene with her body positive tune, “All About That Bass,” and has never been shy about her non-size-2 figure. She seems to be the perfect choice to team with FullBeauty — a brand dedicated to full-figured fashionistas. According to New York Daily News, the team will create “chic clothes for women of all shapes.”

One of the first things on her agenda is a “bomb bathingsuit” that shows cleavage and accentuates curves.

“I used to wear tankinis, but I want something that really fits you nice – and shows everything.”

The 21-year-old pop princess said she has gotten some of her fashion influence from Mad Men. She admires the character Joan, played by the curvaceous Christina Hendrick.

“I watched with my bro, and we were like, ‘Dang, look at that girl. She looks amazing.’ “

Trainor launched her partnership with FullBeauty on Thursday. The site was formerly known as One Stop Plus. She was attracted to the brand because “[t]hey respect all sizes, and they pull for everyone.” They also aim to make looking good affordable, with most items under $100. The “Dear Future Husband” singer pays $798 for the only over-the-knee boots she’s found that fit her legs comfortably, and knows that’s not within reach for most women. She shared her excitement for the collaboration with People.

“FullBeauty is bomb because they promote loving your curves and loving your body and being confident and being comfortable, and that’s all I was trying to say with ‘All About That Bass.’ And so I’m glad to partner up with them. In case some people thought I was bashing skinny people — I’m not; I’m just here because I love myself.”

Since entering the spotlight, she’s learned some tricks for emphasizing what she feels are her best features. She had a few tips to share with her fans.

“Show your best parts. So I show my waist size, because I love it. I show my legs because they’re pretty good. I show the booty — just show what you’re working with.”

Meghan may exude confidence now, but it’s something she had to learn and practice. As a mentor on The Voice, she admitted she almost auditioned for the show before her career took off, but she didn’t have the nerve. According to MTV, she made a conscious effort to work on her self-esteem, because she knew she was going to be looked up to as a role model. She said her fame came on almost before she was ready for it, and she was “terrified.” She decided to be very upfront about the fact that she’s “a little different,” instead of trying to conform to mainstream beauty standards. For those out there who haven’t quite grown to love themselves and their curves yet, Meghan Trainor offers some words of encouragement.

“I promise you, it will get better. I’ve only just begun to really start loving myself and I’m 21. I’m like an adult, ugh, an adult. I promise you, it gets better. You learn to grow into your body and love yourself, and you just have to start convincing yourself at a young age. It will help.”
