Keshia Knight Pulliam Sued By Former Agents Over “House of Payne” Money

Keshia Knight Pulliam doesn’t have a bad gig on the Tyler Perry created sitcom House of Payne where she earns $20,000 per episode, apparently however that wasn’t enough for her and she fired her agents, a dismissal that has led to a lawsuit.

Greene & Associates Talent Agency filed the lawsuit against Keshia this week claiming that they worked to secure the actress her role in 2007 for the part of Miranda Payne, a deal they have now been cut of from monetarily.

According to Green & Associates KKP was secured a contract worth between $7,500 and $20,000, including a guarantee of $20,000 for the 2011-2012 season. Shortly after the better contract was put into place KPP fired G&A in July.

Now the talent agency claims that Keshia didn’t honor her part of the contract because she didn’t hand over a single cent she earned from the newly secured ‘Payne’ deal along with several other shows the talent agency worked to secure roles in.

Greene & Associates Talent Agency has asked the court to pay them $100,000 in back payments plus $250,000 for commissions that Keshia Knight Pulliam is set to make over the future of the deal her former agency put together.

Do you think Keshia Knight Pulliam should be forced to pay her former agents since they put the deal together in the first place? This one could get messy if it’s not settled out of court sooner rather than later.
