Professor Under Investigation After Sending Accidental Adult Video To Students, Placed On Leave

A Drexel University law professor, Lisa McElroy, says she was attempting to send her students resource material as an adjunct for what was being studied at the time. But now the professor is under investigation after she allegedly sent her students an email that included a link to a PornHub video entitled “SHE LOVES HER ANAL BEADS.”

The shocked students said the title of the email was banal, innocuous, in fact it read “great article on writing briefs and the body copy, I thought this article on brief writing would be interesting for all of you.”

There was nothing on writing briefs, but there was plenty of extreme sex once they clicked on the link. How did this happen, the school and the students want to know?

Drexel University made a formal statement about the situation.

“Drexel has been made aware of an email that a professor sent to a class of law students and erroneously included a link to inappropriate material. According to federal law and the University’s policies and procedures, Drexel is required to initiate fact-finding for all reports of inappropriate behaviors of a sexual nature that may impact members of our community. As part of these policies and procedures, an employee may be put on administrative leave—which is not punitive—during the investigation.”

It is assumed the professor is being paid while on leave, but that is not certain. A possible theory that has been offered by many people in the comments of an article, but is only speculation — is that she accidentally copied and pasted the wrong thing to the wrong person. People seemed very divided over whether this was a big deal or not. Many felt that because the students are adults, it should be dealt with less harshly. Others had harsh words, saying that if she was using university equipment in any way that involved adult entertainment, she should be fired.

“She is human, indeed…but there are both legal and ethical reasons why disciplinary action may be necessary. I hope it works out for her…but when you send out an email, even an ‘honest mistake’ can have serious consequences.”

“Yeah, because national humiliation and loss of stature are not enough for you. She has already been punished a thousand times in her own head for this.”

“First, it is possible she was hacked. Secondly, while the actual site itself is a bit graphic, you have to take that extra step and click the arrow to watch the video. Just saying.”
