Matthew Perry Nabs NBC Pilot

It seems like Hollywood is not about to give up on Matthew Perry. After it was announced that Perry signed a multi-episode arc on CBS’ The Good Wife, now comes another announcement that Matthew will be getting his own show on NBC.

The comedy show Go On will be another starring vehicle for Perry who’s ABC show Mr. Sunshine was canned just after one season last year. This comedy pilot will reunite Matthew with F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and Joey writer Scott Silveri. Hoping to catch Perry’s comedic gold in writing again, Go On is about a sportscaster that tries to move on with his life after loss and finds solace in his mandatory therapy group sessions.

The comedy which is a single camera show will star Perry and will be produced by Universal Television, with Todd Holland as an executive producer.

As for other people attached to the show, Transformers’ Julie White will play Anne, a woman who is stuck in the anger stage of grief, while Suzy Nakamura will also co-star as well.

Perry is currently repped by CAA under Doug Chapin Management and Surpin Mayerson. This will be the third show that Matthew takes on since F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ end.
