Hermaphrodite? Zimbabwe Rapist’s Genitals Changed To Female Sex Organs

Police had a hard time with an alleged rapist in Gokwe North in Zimbabwe a while back after his genitals reportedly mysteriously changed to become female sex organs during a medical examination related to the crime.

What they now say is that the 21-year-old rapist is a suspected hermaphrodite, which means that the person has both male and female sex organs.

The alleged rapist, a hermaphrodite known as both Ruben and Abigail who lives in the Nembudziya Business Center in Gokwe North, is accused of having sexual intercourse with a minor on several occasions.

Zimbabwe News Online reports that the incident came to light after a 13-year-old girl returned home the next morning and was quizzed by the family as to why she didn’t come home the night before.

According to police, a girl admitted she had visited the alleged rapist at that person’s house and that they had sex several times during the night she was there. Due to the girl’s age, this was considered to be statutory rape, and police then started investigating the matter.

According to police spokesperson, Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi, investigations then revealed that the suspect was a hermaphrodite and had two sets of sex organs. They then sent the rapist for a medical examination.

According to Nyathi, both the suspect and the alleged victim were sent for medical tests. Upon examining the alleged rapist, it emerged that the suspect appeared to only have female genitals and that the male genitals had “mysteriously disappeared.”

However, the Chronicle was advised that the person did grow up with both sex organs and was a hermaphrodite.

Apparently, the suspect called his or herself Ruben when interacting with women, and Abigail when interacting with men. Whichever sex the suspect had at the time of the intercourse with the young girl, this could still considered to be statutory rape, but the circumstances surrounding it have apparently made it difficult for the matter to be heard in court.

Nyathi added that they were still investigating the matter and “inviting medical experts to find out what could have happened.”

While the examination revealed only female sex organs, the medical reports revealed that the 13-year-old girl had, indeed, been sexually abused and it continues to be alleged that the suspect is a hermaphrodite despite the mysterious disappearance of the male genitals.
