Is Mariah Carey About To Pull A ‘Beyoncé’ With New Music?

Mariah Carey has not had a lot of luck with her last three albums. Carey’s 2014 album Me I Am Mariah: The Elusive Chanteuse is considered one of the biggest flops of all-time. But nobody can count Mariah out. Remember Carey’s comeback after the ill-fated Glitter album and movie?

Soon after the Glitter debacle, Mariah fired her publicist Cindi Berger. Then, she was successful again. In 2009, Mariah re-hired Cindi Berger. Once again, her career went downhill. Now that she has parted ways with Berger again, many fans hope Mariah can get back on track. TMZ quoted part of a letter Carey allegedly wrote to Berger earlier this year.

“I’ve done a lot of soul-searching this past year… and I found myself asking if I was truly employing a healthy perspective…So I think it’s time for us to take a break Cindi.”

TMZ reports that Berger claims she never received the letter and that Mariah is lying about who decided to end the relationship. This could all end up being another drama just like Carey’s divorce with Nick Cannon.

In more important news, Mariah has moved on. Mariah has all new management and is trying to make a comeback. She hinted of something special to come on Twitter. The music site Pop Crush believes Mariah Carey may be releasing new music as a surprise very soon.

“In this scenario, Mariah will pull a Beyoncé and drop an album out of nowhere (except not really out of nowhere because of the whole countdown thing). This would obviously be glorious because maybe the album would be the next Butterfly. Remember Butterfly? They just don’t make ’em like that anymore.”

Idolator believes that Mariah Carey is about to release a new song called “Infinity.” Mariah has been using the hashtag #infinity in some of her posts and her lambs are almost certain that is the name of Mariah Carey’s new single. Let’s just hope that Mariah can score something that resembles a hit. These days, any artist who is over 40 has a hard time getting airplay. Just ask Madonna about it.

Meanwhile, the widely reported rumors of Nick Cannon writing a tell-all book on Mariah have been torn down by Gossip Cop. The site quotes Nick Cannon saying that it’s quite sad that people can make up anything and the media will fall for it. Cannon insists he and Mariah Carey are on good terms, although we certainly won’t be hearing the last of their divorce troubles in the near future. Let’s hope 2015 is a better year for Mariah Carey than 2014 was.
