New ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ Gameplay Trailer Shows There Is A Lot To Do

A new trailer for the upcoming RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been released, via YouTube. The trailer, pegged as the official gameplay trailer for the Polish RPG, is almost five minutes long and shows a ton of the different things you can do in the game.

Note: This trailer does contain language, as The Witcher is undoubtedly rated ‘Mature,’ so viewer discretion is advised. Also, probably NSFW in some offices due to the language.

The Witcher 3 offers a full open-world experience, allowing the player to essentially go anywhere and do pretty much anything in the game world. While many will focus on the combat and the story of the game, Witcher 3 has so much more to offer, as evidenced by the trailer above.

CD Projekt RED has ambitious plans for how the game world interacts with players. Enemy tactics will change based on the time of day and terrain you’re fighting on, so knowing how to approach your enemy could be the difference between victory and a grisly end. Unforgiving combat has always been a hallmark of The Witcher series, so it’s good to see that still in play with The Witcher 3.

In addition, players can choose how they are perceived by the NPCs throughout the game, based on the dialogue choices made. The video shows Geralt at a bar being pestered by some serfs looking for trouble. Do you buy a round for the whole bar and calm the peasantry, or simply threaten them and be known as a thug? How you play is up to you, according to CD Projekt RED, allowing you to invest further in the development of Geralt as a Witcher.

Recently, CD Projekt RED announced two expansions coming to The Witcher 3 after the game as released. The expansions, as the Inquisitrpreviously reported, will total around 30 hours of gameplay together. This is in addition to the sixteen free-DLC offerings coming to The Witcher 3 this year.

For those looking for more information, or gameplay of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, IGN is running their monthly IGN First, showcasing The Witcher 3. Recently, a few editors from the outlet were able to play the first six hours of the game, and they posted their impressions on the gaming site.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt prides itself on being a RPG rooted in reality. The world of The Witcher is a dark, cruel place, one that many will enjoy exploring to its fullest. Excited about The Witcher 3? Sound off in the comments below.
