Horseback Disturbing Video: Deputies Chase Down Man Riding Horseback, Brutally Beat Him [Video]

A man on horseback was part of a disturbing video that is starting to go viral on the internet. According to the Chicago Tribune, authorities caught up to their suspect, identified as Francis Pusok, 30, who was trying to escape an arrest by fleeing on a horse. Pusok was tasered, but once he was down on the ground, deputies began beating and kicking him — and the whole thing was caught on camera.

“It is disturbing and it appears on its face that there are violations of policy, but that will ultimately be determined in the investigation and to what degree. We’ll figure out exactly what happened and proceed from there whether there was criminal wrongdoing on the part of our deputies,” said Sheriff John McMahon, who ordered an investigation after seeing the footage.

The horseback chase that gave way to the disturbing video occurred in San Bernardino County, California. According to NBC Los Angeles, the suspect was rushed to a nearby hospital following the brutal beat down, but the extent of his injuries were unknown. As you can see in the video, not one officer tends to the body as it lay practically lifeless on the ground for almost an hour.

“In the two minutes after the man was stunned with a Taser, it appeared deputies kicked him 17 times, punched him 37 times and struck him with batons four times. Thirteen blows appeared to be to the head. The horse stood idly nearby. The man did not appear to move from his position lying on the ground for more than 45 minutes. He did not appear to receive medical attention while deputies stood around him during that time.”

Pusok’s girlfriend was absolutely shocked to see the footage. His mother, Anne Clemenson, couldn’t believe her eyes either.

“To me, it was like a joyride for the cops to do this to him. (It was) brutality. He didn’t deserve something like that. To Tase him, the beatings that I see them doing to him — it’s uncalled for. You see him laying down, and they continue to kick him, hitting him and punching him. Why?” Clemenson asked.

Police brutality cases have been popping up all over the country lately. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, a St. Louis teen was tased by police and then brutally beaten for “talking in an intersection” just the other day. The St. Louis police department has refused to comment on the incident.
