WWE News: WWE Planning Big Match For WWE World Heavyweight Championship At WWE ‘SummerSlam’

WWE has a lot of big money matches that can be played out this year, but one of the biggest might be Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins. Lesnar wants his WWE World Heavyweight Championship back after he never truly lost it. He has yet to get a rematch, which would only infuriate The Beast Incarnate. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins has proven in a short period of time that he is a great singles performer who deserved to win the WWE World Title at WrestleMania.

Roman Reigns will eventually win the World Title, so the best time to do it might be down the line. One concept is having him face Rollins by at least Money in the Bank or Battleground, and have something come up to cause a rematch at SummerSlam. Meanwhile, Lesnar comes back and demands a rematch, causing it to turn into a triple threat. According to Cageside Seats, a triple threat appears to be where WWE is headed for SummerSlam.

WWE wants to sort of have a WrestleMania main event rematch, but this time under sort of fair terms. Having Lesnar in this match allows for it to be a fair chance. However, it is not one on one. Therefore, it still goes against the idea of truly being fair. WWE also does not want to totally turn Lesnar into a babyface. This is why they’d thrown in Reigns, as Rollins is the obvious heel going in.

Reigns very well could win the WWE World Heavyweight Title at Battleground to set up a match at SummerSlam. There are tons of ways to go about making this match happen, but regardless of how it does, there is money in it happening.

LEsnar Reigns

Not only does it help two younger people out by main eventing a major PPV with Brock Lesnar, but we also have the added aspect of seeing another great triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Lesnar has faced both men, and he has done quite well in matches against them. However, having two involved once again puts Lesnar in a position of disadvantage. We know by now that having Lesnar in a one on one competition pretty much guarantees a win for him. However, having him in a multi-man match is a way of getting away from an issue.

That is most likely why WWE won’t have a straight Rollins vs. Lesnar match or Reigns vs. Lesnar match. Lesnar has proven he can take out Reigns easily. He has yet to prove this totally with Rollins, but he proved Rollins can be beaten easily when he faced off with him along with John Cena at WWE Royal Rumble back in January. We’ll have to see what happens with the match. However, whoever wins might still end up facing off one on one with Lesnar down the line.

It is said that Lesnar will be back for a few more matches this year, so SummerSlam is not supposed to be the last date we see Lesnar for 2015. That means Lesnar could have a few top tier matches involving the WWE World Heavyweight Championship this year. So something controversial might happen at SummerSlam to result in Lesnar going on yet another rampage.
