Khloe & Kim Take Armenia: Kardashian Sisters Meet Prime Minister, Visit Homeland Of Yerevan
Kim and Khloe Kardashian have arrived in Armenia. The sisters went to their homeland of Yrevan to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Aremenian genocide. The sisters also met with Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan as part of their trip to their historic homeland, as reported by Politico.
Also in attendance with the Kardashian sisters was Kara and Kourtni, which are cousins on their late father’s side, according to People magazine. Kim Kardashian was also joined by her husband Kanye West and her daughter, North.
The Public Radio of Armenia reported that the Prime Minister was glad that Khloe and Kim Kardashian never forgot their roots. He also hopes that the sisters never forget their roots once they leave the country.
“Hovik Abrahamyan hailed the fact that members of the Kardashian family never forgot their roots and added that their visit would make [Armenia] better recognizable.”
The Kardashian sisters thanked the prime minister for the warm welcome and were “impressed” by the friendliness of the people of Armenia. They also “confessed that visiting their historic motherland has been their longtime dream,” according to the PRA. Kim and Khloe Kardashian also apologized to the Prime Minister for not speaking the Armenian, but are now learning the language.
Khloe and Kim embarked on their trip to spread awareness of the 1.5 million Armenians that were killed during the genocide of April 24, 1915. The sisters even visited the statue of Mother Armenia, as noted in another People magazine report. The younger Kardashian sister educated her fans about the statue on her Instagram post.
“Visiting the Mother Armenia statue today in Yerevan. The Mother Armenia statue symbolizes peace through strength. It can remind viewers of some of the prominent female figures in Armenian history. Who took up arms to help their husbands in their clashes with Turkish troops and Kurdish irregulars. I am woman hear me roar! Blessed to be here!!!”
In the photo, Khloe wears a tan suede jacket with an olive green wrap dress, while Kim wears tan overcoat with a matching dress.
The famous Kardashian sister resorted to selfies on her Instagram account. She shared one photo of herself that showed off her “turquoise eyeliner.” She also added the hashtag #Armenia. Kardashian’s second selfie was captioned: “Long hair, don’t care.”
