Manchester United Legend Ryan Giggs Apologizes To Brother For Eight-Year Affair With Wife

Manchester United icon Ryan Giggs has reportedly apologized to his brother for the eight-year affair he had with his wife.

Forty-one-year-old Giggs’ apology comes four years after he brought his affair with Rhodri Giggs’ wife, Natasha Giggs, to an end. Natasha and Rhodri tried to stay together after the revelation of her affair with the athlete went public, but they ultimately divorced in 2013.

Ryan Giggs is believed to have called 38-year-old Rhodri out of the blue, and the brothers are now looking to rebuild their relationship.

According to the Sun’s source, via the Daily Mail, “Ryan rang Rhodri out of the blue a few weeks ago. Rhodri moved on a long time ago but was adamant Ryan had to make the first move as he was the one who had done wrong.”

In fact, the brothers have reportedly been spotted out together since they began repairing their relationship. They duo were believed to have been seen together alongside a group of other friends at Manchester’s Neighbourhood bar.

One eyewitness recalled, “They were sitting in the VIP area and looked like they were enjoying each other’s company again.”

Natasha Giggs revealed back in June 2011 that she’d had an eight-year affair with the former Manchester United player, even confirming that she’d aborted his baby just weeks before she exchanged vows with Rhodri.

Her revelation came just a few weeks after Giggs had attempted to stop news that he’d had an affair with reality television star Imogen Thomas from going public. Giggs had spent close to $250,000 trying to get an injunction against her.

Ryan Giggs is still living with his wife, Stacey Cooke, while he is currently employed as Manchester United’s assistant manager to Louis Van Gaal.

Meanwhile, after his divorce, Rhodri Giggs has since remarried to 24-year-old Ashleigh Turner, and they have a young son. Natasha is also reportedly with a new partner.

Ryan Giggs is regarded as the most successful soccer player of the modern era. During his time as a soccer player for Manchester United, he not only recorded the most appearances for the club, playing 963 times over a 23-year period, but he also won a staggering 13 Premier League winner’s medal, four FA Cup winner’s medals, three League Cup winner’s medals, and two Champions League winner’s medals. He eventually retired at the age of 40-years-old as the club’s interim manager after David Moyes was sacked towards the end of his first year in control of the club.
