Rihanna was papped sporting an eye-catching Elizabeth Taylor jumper on Tuesday as she stepped out in London. And, if the rumor mill is anything to go by, the British capital could be seeing a lot more of the 23-year-old superstar.
Numerous reports have suggested Rihanna is looking for a London home to call her own. Specifically the ‘We Found Love’ singer is considering a place in Hoxton, one of London’s trendier, more hipster-y boroughs, along with Shoreditch and Camden.
One ‘source’ told The Sun:
“She is in London so often she wants a base. She’s scoped out a few places in and around Hoxton because she loves what the area is about. Her London pals have been raving about it to her, saying it’s one of the most interesting places in the city.”
Rihanna shot the video for ‘We Found Love’ in Northern Ireland (it could certainly have passed for any inner city around Britain), and seems to enjoy the UK in general.
In other Rihanna speculation, industry whispers suggest the star would be first choice to play Whitney Houston in the inevitable
cash-in film about the late star’s life.
The person pulling the strings behind a possible Whitney biopic is Houston’s music mentor, Clive Davis. It’s said Davis is also keen on 30-year-old Dreamgirls actress Jennifer Hudson for the leading role. Will Smith’s 11-year-old daughter Willow has been touted to portray Whitney as a child.
What do you think, Londoners? Are you ready to welcome ‘Riri’ with open arms? And would a Whitney Houston biopic interest you?
