‘Jeopardy’ Contestant Answer: Man Gives ‘Creepy’ Answer About Children, Is So Very Wrong [Video]

A Jeopardy contestant gave the incorrect answer during a recent episode of the show, and while that happens from time to time, this particular contestant’s response was so wrong. Despite buzzing in to give his response, Tom said something completely inappropriate, and may have not even realized it in that moment — and the internet hasn’t stopped talking about it.

According to the New York Daily News, the contestants were given the following “answer.”

“In common law, the age of this, signaling adulthood, is presumed to be 14 in boys and 12 in girls.” Most people would automatically know that the question is “What is puberty?” However, the contestant responded with, “What is the age of consent?”

The Jeopardy contestant’s answer absolutely horrified viewers. According to Mail Online, the game show soon started trending on Twitter.

“Viewers watching at home couldn’t contain their horror at what Tom’s answer appeared to imply and soon #jeopardy was trending on Twitter with people voicing their opinions.”

Hundreds, if not thousands, of people started cracking jokes about Tom’s response, many referring to How To Catch A Predator, and saying that they expected host Chris Hansen to pop out from behind a curtain or something.

Game show flubs aren’t uncommon, and some are pretty hilarious. Check out this article by the Inquisitr to see more.
