Deadpool On Set: Videos And Pictures Give Fans A Glimpse Into The Long-Awaited Film

Deadpool, the madcap comic book character that many thought would never see a live-action version sprawled across movie theater screens, has had the most interesting roller coaster ride of any comic book adaptation to date.

First, you had the X-Men Origins: Wolverine version, which nearly sunk the entire idea of the character being in a solo film. Then, last July, Deadpool test footage “leaked” onto the net.

In an odd turn of events, the unauthorized leak catapulted Deadpool’s film into production. Since then, we have been teased and April fooled about the rating, as the Inquisitr reported. Many fans begged, pleaded, and prayed for an ‘R’ rating, and surprisingly the studios delivered. Now, for the first time since it all began, there are on-set videos and photos to prove that shows Deadpool fans that “it’s on.” The Daily Mail has the majority of the Deadpool action photos for the upcoming film.

Reports indicated that the Deadpool shoot in Vancouver has been anything but secret. The video is said to be during the filming of the official version of the infamous leaked test footage. The video and photos depict both Ryan Reynolds and his stunt double, though the pictures do not clearly show this, dressed as Deadpool.

There are also two photos circulating that seem to reveal just what the live-action version of Deadpool unmasked just might look like.

There was even one photo leaked where the blurry Deadpool shot, as reported by the Huffington Post, kind-of looked like Ted Danson.

The Deadpool film that fans will see in February, 2016, will be have no real connection to the fan disappointing X-Men Origins: Wolverine. According to Screenrant, in Deadpool’s solo outing, it starts out with a more specific origin. The film will begin with Wade Wilson, Deadpool’s real name, as a hired gun mercenary. It will inevitably follow Deadpool through program that left him horribly scarred, but with his super-powered healing factor.

With a plethora of Deadpool comics, and various universes, it is hard to figure out just which storyline the producers will follow. However, from the test footage that was leaked last July, it is clear that Ryan Reynolds appears to be playing Deadpool in all his zany, crazy glory.

Many have stated that Ryan Reynolds felt like the perfect actor to be Deadpool when he appeared in the Wolverine film, but the producers mangled his back story. Even though critics did not approve of his Green Lantern role, because of “mis-casting,” perhaps two times as a Marvel comic book character is the charm.

So far, it would appear that Tim Miller’s Deadpool might cement Ryan Reynolds as the “Merc with a mouth,” the way Hugh Jackman did with Wolverine.
