Phaedra Parks Again Says Only NeNe Leakes And Porsha Williams Have Been Supportive, Doesn’t Mention Kandi Burruss

It seems that Phaedra Parks still feels abandoned by Kandi Burruss. On Monday, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star made an appearance on the Steve Harvey Show. During her chat with Steve Harvey, Phaedra talked about the drama that she’s going through with Apollo Nida and which of her co-stars have been there for her through this difficult time.

When asked if her fellow Atlanta housewives have been supportive of her as she deals with the demise of her marriage and Apollo’s incarceration, Phaedra said that Porsha Williams and NeNe Leakes have been very supportive. Notably, she didn’t mention Kandi, the one person on the cast with whom she has been friends with the longest.

“To answer that, they really haven’t been. Well, I can’t say all of them haven’t been. Porsha and NeNe have been very supportive, but they have been through similar situations. Not like mine, no prison or anything like that, but they’ve had situations in their marriages and relationships that were very difficult that played out in public.”

Phaedra said that NeNe in particular has been there for her.

“And so NeNe, you know, she has been the person who has called me every day, sent me texts just to make sure I was OK and just really been very supportive. You know, we’re not the best of friends, but she has been a wonderful friend throughout this ordeal.”

A big story line over the past few episodes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is whether Kandi Burruss has been a good enough friend to Phaedra Parks. NeNe and Porsha brought it to Phaedra’s attention that Kandi didn’t seem to be as supportive of her as they thought she would be. Phaedra agreed that Kandi has not been there for her.

When Kandi first asked Phaedra what she was saying to others about their friendship, Kandi reminded her that she’s going through her own problems. Later, during the group’s vacation in the Philippines, when Phaedra told Kandi that she doesn’t contact her as much anymore, Kandi didn’t really offer up an explanation or defense other than reminded her that she was going through her own issues. The heart-to-heart where they agreed to communicate with one another more.

Phaedra later told the camera that she has just accepted the fact that Kandi can’t be the friend that she needs.

“I’m fine with Kandi. In any relationship there’s going to be moments where you’re disappointed and you want more than the other person is willing to give. That’s just life. And I’m big enough to accept it and, you know, our friendship is strong enough to move past it.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kandi Burruss still seems to have a problem with Phaedra Parks talking about their friendship to others. When asked if she felt better about her relationship with Phaedra after the talk in the Philippines, Kandi responded, “Yes, at the time I did.”

Kandi has also publicly called out Phaedra for her action.
