Bobbi Kristina: Bobby Brown Controls Life Support Decision As Relatives Blame Each Other And Nick Gordon [Video]
What does the future hold for Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 22-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston? That’s the question which has remained unanswered since January 31, when she was found unconscious in her home. She was placed in a medically induced coma and on life support, with the decision about her future to be determined by Bobby Brown, reported the VC Post.
However, although Bobby alone has legal powers of attorney, other members of Brown’s family and Houston’s family are weighing in on what they feel should happen. Among those individuals are Cissy Houston, who is Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, and Pat Houston, who is Whitney’s sister-in-law.
After being transferred to DeKalb Medical Facility, which is a long-term care rehabilitation center, Bobbi Kristina remains dependent on a ventilator to survive. Bobby remains hopeful that she will do more than survive — he is praying that she will fully recover.
At the same time, Bobbi Kristina’s relatives are trying to persuade him that it is time. In addition, some of those relatives are seeking answers to the question of precisely what caused Bobbi Kristina to become unconscious, lying face down in a bathtub in her home. It is her live-in beau, Nick Gordon, at whom Leolah Brown is directing the blame, reported People.
Bobbi Kristina’s aunt, Leolah, revealed that Gordon is being investigated, but police said only that an investigation is on-going rather than naming the 25-year-old. In addition, Brown criticized Nick’s appearance on Dr. Phil’s talk show, which the TV psychologist described as an intervention.
“I believe Nick is manipulating Dr. Phil just like he manipulated my niece Bobbi Kristina, that is what he’s doing,” accused Leolah. “His habits and his actions are not conducive nor are they consistent with anyone that is concerned for somebody.”
However, Leolah also contends that some of the blame for Bobbi Kristina’s tragic situation rests on Pat Houston.
“I believe that she has a lot to do with it. Whether it be her actual hand, I can’t say that right now. But I hold her accountable for what happened to my niece, Bobbi Kristina, because of what knowledge I have of her.”
That accountability results from what Leolah views as Pat’s decision to tell Bobbi Kristina to become involved in a reality show, which she feels exacerbated her already fragile state after Whitney Houston’s death.
As for Gordon, he was using both cocaine and heroin but shifted to whiskey and prescription Xanax after that fateful discovery on January 31, reported Radar Online.
His admission to Dr. Phil about abusing both booze and drugs, however, resulted in his current three-month stint in rehab.
In addition to Gordon’s use of drugs and alcohol, Bobbi Kristina also sought relief from her emotional anguish with heroin, cocaine, and Xanax, as the Inquisitr reported. She was reported to have used drugs on the morning that she was found unconscious in her home.
