Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak is firing back against body shaming comments she received on her Instagram account. After Zolciak, a 36-year-old mom of six, posted a photo of herself on Instagram Friday, nasty comments about her body, with the focus this time being on her legs, began pouring forth.
In the photo Kim is wearing an asymmetrical black dress, and it’s captioned, “Getting ready for Spring Break!” Zolciak tagged her friend, celebrity stylist Shun Melson, in her photo.
An hour after the prior photo had been posted, garnering a load of body shaming comments, Kim posted a second one wearing the same black dress. This time, however, Zolciak showed off much more of her legs and included a message to her haters.
“Yes I have thick or as some of my followers call them “chunky” legs (Rude A** People) always have and I love them that way! I love every inch of me and it’s evident some of you don’t. It’s truly disheartening to see some of your comments because My kids see this stuff and I’m appalled. I guess it’s time I stop posting personal pics of myself as well as my kids since some of you last night and today commented rudely about them. #GodDontLikeUgly”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim recently faced speculation she had a nose job after posting a close-up picture of her profile. Kim then posted a photo that compared her profile to her daughters’ profiles and denied having a nose job, captioning the picture, “I guess we ALL had nose jobs.”
Zolciak has been open about and admitted to previously having plastic surgery. She’s had breast augmentation, which was documented on her current Bravo reality show Don’t Be Tardy. Kim’s also had a tummy tuck.
Lately it seems negative comments made about celebrity’s bodies, especially female celebrities, are making the news quite often. Kim Zolciak isn’t the first, nor will she be the last celebrity to face people attempting to body shame her. Recently, singer Kelly Clarkson has faced a lot of criticism about her weight after giving birth to her first child last year.
Kim Zolciak recently announced she’ll be starring in a new Bravo reality series with NeNe Leakes called NeNe and Kim: The Road to Riches.
What do you think about the criticism females have been facing lately concerning their bodies? Did Kim Zolciak do the right thing in addressing her haters’ comments?
