‘Blood, Sweat And Heels’ Melyssa Ford Calls Out Bravo For Downplaying Her Achievement

Tonight’s episode of Blood, Sweat and Heels shows Melyssa Ford premiering her musical For Vixens The Musical. A preview clip shows Melyssa facing some technical difficulties on her big night. It seems that Melyssa has a problem with the way that Bravo has depicted her project, choosing to highlight the embarrassing problems, but not the long journey towards it. In an Instagram post that she posted earlier today, the former “video vixen” called out Bravo for not highlighting how hard she worked to get the musical off the ground.

“These moments, behind the scenes backstage of MY play… unfortunately ‘THAT network’ is not depicting the fact I came up with the idea for the play and worked on it with my partner, J Kyle, for 5 years.”

According to the website, the musical is about a woman’s rise in the music video world. Melyssa starred in numerous music videos in the late 1990s and early 2000s, including the videos for “Knock Yourself Out” (Jadakiss), “Big Pimpin” (Jay Z), “Shake It Fast” (Mystikal), “Happy People” (R. Kelly), and “Yeah!” (Usher featuring Lil Jon and Ludacris).

“For Vixens… is narrated by former video model and Bravo’s Blood, Sweat, and Heels Melyssa Ford who guides us through the musical journey of the main character, Lil’ Bit, an aspiring video vixen who wants nothing more than to escape her drab existence with her overly religious single father and become the biggest star the industry has seen only to discover that stardom comes at a cost. Featuring satirical characters like ‘Flamboyant Photographer’, ‘The Casting Couch’ and ‘Quasi Attractive Rich Black Host’ For Vixens……promises to be a once in a life time opportunity.”

A preview video for Blood, Sweat and Heels season 2 shows Melyssa Ford not only doing her musical but also having some kind of drama with co-star Geneva S. Thomas. Viewers may very well see the fight that happened between Melyssa and Geneva at a boat party while filming the show in late October, 2014. Melyssa later claimed that Geneva hit her over the head with a glass bottle, sending her to the hospital to get her wounds stapled shut. TMZ posted a video of the fight and later reported that Geneva is suing Melyssa for $25 million for defaming her.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Melyssa Ford and Geneva S. Thomas’ co-star Daisy Lewellyn recently spoke out about the fight that happened between Melyssa and Geneva. Unfortunately for the curious, Daisy admitted that she didn’t actually see what happened.

“People ask me all of the time, what happened with the fight? What happened? What happened? Funny enough, I was at the party where the incident occurred, but actually at that party I got sick. It was a situation where I really wasn’t present so I don’t know what happened or how it started… I really just wish the best for both Melyssa and Geneva because we’re all human and I just hope that everything works out.”
