Karrueche Tran Tells Kylie Jenner She’s Beautiful Just As She Is Amid Blackface Controversy
Karrueche Tran has added her two cents to the Kylie Jenner blackface controversy. On Saturday, Karrueche tweeted to Kylie that she’s beautiful just as she is.
Karrueche then posted another tweet to explain what she meant.
“The point is.. Nobody needs to wish they look like anything.. We are all individually beautiful in our own way. Keep that s**t positive.”
On Saturday, Kylie posted two photos from a recent photo shoot that she did. The photos depict her with darkened skin. According to E! News, Kylie wrote this for the caption for one of the photos: “What I wish I looked like all the time.” That caption has since been deleted.
The photos have stirred up quite the controversy. Some people think that Kylie, who is reportedly dating rapper Tyga, posed in blackface, while others believe that Kylie wants to be black. In response to the controversy, Kylie posted several explanations. She first explained how the look was achieved.

She then addressed the accusation that she wants to be black.

She assured everyone that she’s happy just the way she is.

This isn’t the first time that Kylie’s look has come under fire. After being accused of getting lip injections, Kylie chalked up her fuller lips to a good use of lip liner. She told Cosmopolitan earlier this year that she simply now knows how to use makeup to enhance her looks.
“You guys have watched me grow up since I was nine. My face is going to get different. Now, I know how to do my makeup, contour and everything.”
While Karrueche Tran may have meant well with her tweets regarding Kylie Jenner, many people told her that she is not one to dish out advice, especially on self-esteem issues, to anyone. Karrueche had a long on-and-off relationship with singer Chris Brown for years, before finally calling it off in early March after it was revealed that Chris fathered a child, now 9-months-old, with someone else while they were together. In a tweet that has since been deleted, Karrueche wished Chris the best, but said that she’s not dealing with “baby drama.”
“Listen. One can only take so much. The best of luck to Chris and his family. No baby drama for me.”
Some suspect that Karrueche Tran may get back together with Chris Brown again. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Chris did an interview in late February, right before the baby news came out, in which he implied that Karrueche can’t do better than him. Yet according to TMZ, she’s staying away. On Saturday, the site reported that Chris wants Karrueche back and has been doing what he can to win her back, including calling her and liking her social media posts, but has so far been met with silence.
