WWE News: Why Rikishi Never Mentioned ‘Too Cool’ In His Hall Of Fame Speech

One third of the most popular acts of the attitude era, Rikishi, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last weekend, and a lot of people are confused as to why he didn’t mention and thank his two partners, Grand Master Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty, during his Hall of Fame speech, as the Too Cool trio was the most successful thing Rikishi was ever involved in.

At the end of Rikishi’s speech, he did the Too Cool dance with his sons, Jimmy and Jey Uso, but there was a bit of disappointment that Grand Master Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty didn’t make a surprise appearance, and join Rikishi for one last dance.

Apparently Rikishi had a falling out with his former partners over an independent booking, and hasn’t spoken with them since. Nobody knows how long ago this falling out took place, but it has been reported that Rikishi didn’t want Too Cool to attend the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

Both Scotty 2 Hotty and Grand Master Sexay are yet to publicly comment on this issue, but Scotty 2 Hotty did retweet a few angry and disappointed fans during the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

The last time all three members of Too Cool were in a WWE ring together was in January of last year on Old School RAW, where they took out 3MB, and the three of them seemed to be on good terms at that point.

When Rikishi failed to mention his former tag-team partners, most people assumed that there were issues between the three of them, because it would be completely ridiculous if he would have forgotten the most successful act of his entire career. What’s surprising is that the fans in attendance — who generally are some of the most hardcore wrestling fans — let Rikishi get through his entire speech without even acknowledging Too Cool.

Both Scotty 2 Hotty and Grand Master Sexay are taking independent bookings without the WWE Hall of Fame big man, but, it’s expected that at some point, the three of them will get back together, as serious heat never seems to last forever in the wrestling business. But, whether they get back together or not, most fans are still going to be disappointed that they weren’t able to see the three of them reunite one last time under the WWE banner.
