Halle Berry Injury Will Keep Her Away From 2012 Oscar Awards Telecast

Halle Berry can’t catch a break lately, first her divorce to Gabriel Aubry turned ugly, then her daughter was forced into counseling to deal with her parent’s breakup and her dad’s alleged temper and now she won’t be able to attend the 2012 Oscars telecast.

According to reports Berry broke her foot in September when she was chasing daughter Nahla during a break from the filming of Cloud Atlas which also stars Tom Hanks and Hugh Grant with direction by the Wachowski brothers who helmed the Matrix Trilogy.

Berry was apparently chasing Nahla across rocky terrain when she broke her foot after stepping the wrong way.

This year celebrates the 10th anniversary of Halle Berry’s Oscar win. At that time she became the first black female to win the Oscar for Best Actress.

In the meantime Halle Berry will continue her battle against Gabriel Aubry, recently requesting permission to move with daughter Nahla to France. In that request Berry said she fears for her life because of a stalker.

I guess missing an awards ceremony still beats dealing with child protective services, judges and an allegedly crazy ex-husband any day of the week.
