Jennifer Lopez Discusses Jay Z’s Tidal Service, Confirms Relationship Status

Jennifer Lopez was asked about Jay Z’s new streaming service, Tidal, at the American Idol final round of eliminations. The performer revealed that she knows nothing about the new service and wasn’t interested in learning about it either.

The interviewer asked Lopez, “Did you hear about Jay Z’s new streaming service Tidal?”

J.Lo responded, “No I did not.”

The interviewer went on to explain that Jay Z’s new service allows artists to own a piece of it. Each artist reportedly earns $3 million plus 3 percent of revenue from the streaming service. The interviewer then asked Jennifer if she would like to be a part of the “Tidal wave.”

Lopez laughed and said, “I don’t know anything about it, sweetie.”

The American Idol judge then walked away to the next interviewer. It appears that Jennifer Lopez isn’t interested in joining Tidal anytime soon. You can watch the video for yourself below.

Jennifer recently opened up about her relationship status. Rumors have been swirling that she’s still dating her ex-boyfriend Casper Smart. Some reports also said that Jennifer and Casper faked a breakup so she could promote her new movie, The Boy Next Door. That made rumors swirl that she was dating her co-star, Ryan Guzman.

Lopez has finally put a rest to those pesky dating rumors. The judge was asked to “set the record” straight about her relationship status with Smart.

Lopez told E! News, “I’m single right now. Thank you.”

Once again, she sashayed away from the interviewers.

Casper also told E! News that he and Jennifer are “very good friends,” and that he is “single.”

The two reportedly broke up nine months ago, although they were seen kissing last week. Lopez and Smart dated for over three years before calling it quits in June of 2014. The two have remained friendly after their breakup, causing rumors to swirl that they’re still seeing each other.

Global Grind reported that Jennifer was wearing items from her own clothing line from Kohl’s. She wore a white off-shoulder blouse with gold graphic print. Jennifer paired her look with white shorts, which is also from her Kohl’s clothing line. She even mentioned that the clothes are part of her line’s Spring 2015 collection.

Extra reported that Jennifer’s ensemble only costs $70. Unfortunately, the blouse is not yet available on the Kohl’s website. However, similar shirts in Jennifer’s collection retail for $26, according to the news source. She completed her look with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and stacked bracelets from Endless Jewelry.

Jennifer Lopez was willing to talk about the difficult American Idol selection process, in which the judges selected the Top 9 contestants.

She said, “Those five minutes were intense, I thought. To have an Idol fan save, that was the first [time] in history.”
