January Jones Talks Topless Violet Grey Shoot: ‘I Love Experimenting With That Kind Of Stuff’
January Jones has been discussing her recent topless shoot for Violet Grey, admitting that she loves “experimenting with that kind of stuff.”
The 37-year-old model and actress, who is most commonly recognised for her leading performance as Betty Draper in Mad Men, recently posed topless for the magazine spread.

During her discussion with E! News, Jones admitted that she thoroughly enjoyed posing for the shoot.
“I love experimenting with that kind of stuff. That’s one of the aspects of my job I love so much, too, is the transformation process, so that was a fun shoot.”
During her recent discussion with Elle, January Jones admitted that her confidence started to waver as she gained more and more attention for her looks.
“I was at my most confident as a kid,” Jones explained. “It actually wasn’t until I got into high school and started to get quote-unquote pretty that my confidence started to disappear.”
Jones was making her comments in response to her variety of “Throwback Thursday” images that she regularly uploads to her Instagram feed. Jones explained the reasons why she posts these images, stating, “I want to give the message that girls can be proud and self-assured no matter what funky haircut they have.”
Meanwhile, Jones has also been talking about the upcoming episodes of Mad Men’s final season, and she admitted that she started to regain her confidence after portraying Betty Draper.
Jones, via E! Online, proclaimed “I feel like by playing [Betty], whenever I was in that world, I was braver than I normally am, just because she is beautifully flawed and complicated. I just felt like I could get away with anything when I’m her, so I’ll just miss her. She was a gift of a role for an actress.”
January Jones has already started to move on from her Mad Men career with her recent appearances in Last Man On Earth, while Mad Men’s final seven episodes will begin on AMC on Sunday.
