Harvey Weinstein has come forward after the New York Times broke a story from the Tribeca Film Festival. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ambra Battilana, a 22-year-old model, is accusing Weinstein of groping her breast on Friday at the Tribeca Film Center.
Weinstein, who’s part owner of the production company The Weinstein Company, was brought in for questioning during the weekend. According to E!, the investigation is currently underway.
Following the report, Harvey Weinstein’s spokesperson, Ken Sunshine, spoke to E! to give a reaction to the report. “We are cooperating fully with the authorities, and are confident that we will be fully vindicated. We will have no further comment.”
Weinstein voluntarily sat down with the police to answer questions. It’s believed that mere hours after the alleged incident took place, Battilana filed a report.
Weinstein and Ambra Battilana met on Thursday at the Radio City Music Hall, as the two were both at a social event. Weinstein was producing the show New York Spectacular. The 22-year-old exchanged e-mails with the mogul-producer, and the following night, Battilana sat down with Harvey for a meeting at his offices at the Tribeca Film Center. It was then that Weinstein touched the model. When the two sat down in his office, it was a one-on-one meeting. The New York Post is reporting that this “meeting” was actually an audition.
While we don’t know much about Ambra Battilana, according to Gawker, the model had been involved in a sex party.
According to a source, she was “one of two teenage models who attended Berlusconi’s group sex parties. At Berlusconi’s trial for allegedly having sex with an underage prostitute, Battilana—now 22—testified that she and the other model attended the party hoping to find work as TV weather presenters. Instead, the women alleged, they were groped by the former PM and encouraged to undress.”

So far, the New York District Attorney has not shared any comments about this matter. Currently, there are no official charges filed against Harvey Weinstein, despite that industry players have varied opinions on the accusation against Harvey Weinstein.
