Kim Richards’ Child Released From Mental Facility

Kim Richards’ child has reportedly been released from a mental facility after entering treatment earlier this month. According to a new report, the unidentified Real Housewives of Beverly Hills kid is currently living in a group home and continuing on with their mental care.

On March 31, a source revealed the following to Radar Online.

“Kim’s child was discharged from the psychiatric hospital at UCLA after making improvements. The individual is now living in a group home and is being monitored. The goal is for Kim’s child to be able to come back and live under her roof once again.”

Kim Richards is the mother of Kimberly, 21, Chad, 22, Whitney, 24, and Brooke, 29.

News of Kim Richards’ child’s entry into a mental facility was first reported by Radar Online on March 12, with a source claiming the child had been struggling with depression.

“This wasn’t an involuntary psychiatric hold, but it came very close. [The individual] has battled with depression for years and it’s unclear at this point how long they’ll have to remain in the hospital. This is obviously very, very hard for Kim.”

Kim Richards has a lot on her plate. In addition to her child’s mental illness, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is currently in a family feud with sister Kyle. On the show, the two women battled back and forth, sadly, with no resolve. Even after the reunion, the pair haven’t spoken, and things don’t appear to be moving forward.

As the Inquisitr reported, Kim Richards’ relationship with Brandi Glanville was a major issue for the sisters on-screen and seems to have been an issue off-screen as well. Although Kim Richards hasn’t seen Glanville since The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, which was filmed weeks ago, Glanville has kept in touch with Richards with text messages. In her latest Bravo blog, Glanville explained to fans that Kim Richards has been silent when it comes to her blogs and social media accounts because of her current situation with her child and ex-husband, Monty Brinson, who has been diagnosed with cancer.

At the time, Glanville also confirmed Kim Richards had not relapsed, as was previously suspected.

“Kim is sober and not online. She is busy caring for serious ill family members and driving back and forth to doctors and hospitals and being strong for her family.”
