UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey was present at WWE's biggest event of the year, WrestleMania. While many assumed Ronda would attend, as the event took place in California where she lives....no one expected her to get involved in the show. When Ronda first had the camera on her, Levi's Stadium exploded. Holy S*** chants were massive in fact.
Ronda Rousey is known as the baddest female on the planet who collects arms and asks questions later. So when she stepped into a WWE ring, the world was watching to see what would happen.
The story goes that The Rock came out to interrupt The Authority's Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, as they praised themselves and told the fans they didn't matter. Stephanie then told Rock to leave and asked, "what are you going to do Rock, are you going to hit a woman?" Rock, being the chivalrous man that he is, decided to invite Rousey in. Rock then claimed he'd never hit a woman, but Ronda had no problem with it.
Stephanie claimed that while Ronda was Queen of the Octagon, this was the squared circle and it was her ring. Ronda then claimed every ring she steps into is her ring. She then said she'd leave the ring if Stephanie made her. This eventually led to a brawl and Rousey judo hip-throwing Triple H in impressive fashion.
So why was Rousey at WrestleMania and used? There are a few reasons. Clearly this was used to bring buzz to the UFC, which is why UFC President Dana White probably signed off on it. It also helped promote Fast and Furious 7, which both Rock and Ronda are part of. However, there is a bigger reason too.
Ronda Rousey has always wanted to perform at WrestleMania. With the show taking place in Dallas, Texas next year, WWE wants to sell out Cowboy's Stadium. They could fit around 100,000 people in there, which would be amazing. So WWE would like to get Ronda involved if at all possible. According to Cageside Seats, WWE might just get that. They claimed that Ronda being at WrestleMania in such a position was to sell a possible match next year.
The idea is to most likely set up a tag team match with her, however it is uncertain what kind of match we'll see. Most believe that she could could kill any female in the WWE, so putting her in a one on one match with any female would be dumb. So a tag match makes the most sense, where she could throw and attack the men some.
The current idea most have is that she and Rock will take on Triple H and Stephanie. However, Rock is rumored to take on Lesnar. So Ronda would most likely end up with another partner with some credentials. She very well could still be taking on Stephanie McMahon and Triple H however. WWE fans would love it if the company can make it happen.
