Lindsay Lohan to Play Liz Taylor in New TV Movie

Lindsay Lohan may be on her way to revitalizing her career. The former A-list actress announced earlier this week that she was returning to host "Saturday Night Live" for the fourth time, and today it was revealed that Lohan has just been cast as Liz Taylor in a new TV movie.

A source close to the situation told Access Hollywood that Lohan will be starring in Lifetime TV movie, "Liz and Dick." The source adds that the contract includes a clause that would require Lohan to stay on the right side of the law. Lohan is just about to finish up her community service and hopefully will be able to put her legal troubles behind her.

"Liz and Dick" has been in development since last year and will be produced by Larry Thompson. OK! Magazine reports that the TV Movie will feature the many marriages of Liz Taylor (she was married 8 times) and her relationship to her sometimes husband Richard Burton.

Lohan's last big screen appearance came in 2010's "Machete" starring Danny Trejo. She will appear in Rob Schneider's "InAPPropriate Comedy" this Summer.
