David Cross Snorted Cocaine While In The Same Room as Obama

Arrested Development creator David Cross snorted cocaine. He admitted it clearly in Playboy magazine. The part that sets this comedian apart from most others on the planet is that he did it while at the white house correspondents dinner in the same room as President Obama and the Secret Service.

Truth be told, it wasn’t the first time this was reported on. It was widely reported that Cross took a sniff at the dinner. What is new news are the details behind it.

He told Playboy,

“It was a tiny granule of coke that I put on my wrist and said, ‘Watch this. I need a witness.’ And then I ducked under the table and did it. It wasn’t like I got high. The jolt was similar to licking an empty espresso cup. It was just about being able to say that I did it, that I did cocaine in the same room as the president. I’m not proud of it, nor am I ashamed of it.”

Cross has admitted to experimenting with a wide variety of drugs including crack.

He said that he did have one regret about the evening and that is that he got his girlfriend, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” actress Amber Tamblyn, “in trouble by association.”

He said,

“I was her date, her plus-one, and she got dragged through the mud because of what I did. She had nothing to do with it. She didn’t know I was going to do it. And because of that she’ll never be invited to the White House again. That’s not cool.”
