Fans can watch the Mexico vs. Ecuador soccer match live online and see if Mexico can deliver a strong performance before a (non) home crowd.

The teams will meet Saturday at the L.A. Coliseum, which is sold out. Officials expect a crowd of about 90,000 people, turning the game north of the border into a home atmosphere for El Tri.

The match kicks off Saturday at 6:30 p.m. EST (3:30 P.T.).

Fans who watch the Mexico vs. Ecuador soccer game live online will also have some drama outside of the contest. Mexican coach Miguel Herrera is still trying to sort out whether Cruz Azul’s Jesus Corona or Malaga’s Guillermo Ochoa is the team’s best goalkeeper, with Herrera not tipping his hand on which keeper he will choose.

“The truth is that the competition is very even,” said Herrera this week, in a quote that could’ve been from 12 months ago. “It worries me because I have very difficult decisions to decide which will be at [the Gold Cup and Copa America].”

Ochoa may have an advantage, especially given his superb World Cup performance that earned him the nickname “San Memo” for his nearly impossible saves that earned a draw with host Brazil.

But Ochoa has faded since then, ESPN FC noted.

“Since then, however, Ochoa’s club career has been stagnate. Few expected him to be relegated to the bench at Malaga, with the most notable exception being current starter Carlos Kameni. Over the course of the 2014-15 La Liga season it was generally assumed, given the fanfare when Ochoa arrived at the Andalusian club, that it was only a matter of time before the former Club America keeper earned the start.”

Corona said the competition has been good for both goalkeepers, and by extension the entire Mexican team.

“We are two goalkeepers that know each other on and off the field,” said an honest Corona on Tuesday, following up the sentiment on Wednesday in a tweet. “The rivalry, completely sporting, has been hard fought. We know it is good for both of us to not relax, to look to give the maximum every day.”

Though the contest against Ecuador is just a friendly, it could be an important warm-up for Mexico. The team has both the CONCACAF Gold Cup and Copa America coming up, and has another contest against Paraguay just two days after facing Ecuador.
