WWE News: Roman Reigns Wants The Shield In A Triple Threat Match At ‘WrestleMania 32’

Roman Reigns is a few days away from doing the unthinkable. He will main event WrestleMania with Brock Lesnar before his 30th birthday. Looking back in history, not many can say they accomplished that feat. Not only is Reigns’ main event WWE’s biggest show of the year, he might win the WWE World Heavyweight championship in his first attempt.

Rumors are swirling about WrestleMania and if Reigns will indeed leave Levi’s Stadium victorious. One rumor that is being talked about among WWE fans is a Brock Lesnar babyface turn while Paul Heyman aligns himself with Reigns. That will give the Samoan-born wrestler a mouthpiece. WWE fans might even turn to Reigns as a favorite because Heyman would be right next to him.

This year’s WrestleMania will surprise many WWE fans who are watching on the WWE Network, as well as the lucky one’s in attendance Sunday evening. As much as WrestleMania 31 is being talked about, WrestleMania 32 is already in discussions. In a recent interview, Roman Reigns said that he wants WrestleMania 32 to be one that will hit close to home: a match with two former brothers.

“Roman Reigns wants WWE to book himself versus Dean Ambrose versus Seth Rollins in an all Shield triple threat main event at WrestleMania 32.

“Reigns was speaking with The Sun and put over his desire to see The Shield narrative come full circle. The idea of Ambrose vs Reigns vs Rollins has been talked about for some time. Even before they split, there were rumours that the triple threat would occur at WrestleMania 30.”

There are no discussions backstage about this match, but Brock Lesnar and the Rock at WrestleMania 32 is wanted. The Shield was the best group since Evolution and there’s really no argument to be made. Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns each brought something to the table like Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, and Ric Flair did.

Rollins was the architect who created the Shield. Not only that, but Rollins was arguably the best wrestler of the group. He did the best spots, and at the same time, controlled the in-ring action. Ambrose set the tone inside the ring and out. Ambrose also carried the Shield on the microphone. The “Lunatic Fringe” performed daredevil spots with Rollins.

Roman Reigns was the “silent assassin,” as fans in the WWE Universe dubbed him. He was also the powerhouse of the group. He is comparable to Batista in Evolution. Reigns also carried matches at times, so don’t think he isn’t a credible wrestler. If the WWE were to go with this match as the main event of WrestleMania 32, the WWE Universe would be divided. It would be arguably the best triple-threat match in WWE history.
