Jeremy Renner Divorce Heats Up: Actor Says Sonni Pacheco Tried To Extort Him For Green Card, Roommate Backs Him Up

Jeremy Renner is accusing his soon-to-be ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco, of threatening to release intimate videos of the actor if he backed out on his promise to help her get a green card. The couple’s roommate is backing the extortion claims and other allegations in divorce proceedings.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Jeremy Renner alleges Sonni Pacheco repeatedly stated throughout their marriage that she only married him for financial stability and to obtain a green card.

E! News, who also obtained court documents related to the couple’s divorce proceedings, reports that the couple’s roommate, Kristoffer Winters, says Pacheco threatened to release embarrassing videos of Jeremy if he fought her on the money issue or backed out on helping her to obtain a green card.

“I heard Sonni say at least five or six times when we were together at the Franklin house that Jeremy should be nice to her and not fight her on green card or money issues or else she would release intimate videos of him to TMZ.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Renner and Pacheco split in December 2014 after just 10 months of marriage. The couple is now engaged in an all-out war for custody of their nearly two-year-old daughter, Ava.

In the court documents, Jeremy and the couple’s roommate accuse Sonni of bad judgment when it comes to parenting and cite as examples Pacheco leaving Ava alone in their home for 15 minutes while she went off to party and also that she quit breastfeeding because she wanted to drink alcohol. The roommate also asserts that it was up to him to ensure the Avengers star had daily access to Ava when Renner was on location because Sonni refused to “facilitate FaceTime or other types of video calls” between dad and daughter.

After TMZ released content of the court documents early Wednesday, Sonni Pacheco addressed the allegations of Renner and Winters in an interview with TMZ. The only allegation she did not discuss was the green card extortion claim. Renner’s soon-to-be ex says the allegations that she left her daughter alone in the couple’s home while she ran off to party and that she stopped breastfeeding because she wanted to drink are lies. Pacheco also claimed it is Jeremy who is the bad parent. She says once when Ava hit her head on his fireplace glass, Renner expressed no concern other than to ask her to bring over some Polysporin.

The couple have shared 50/50 custody of their daughter since they separated in December. Both are fighting for sole custody, with Pacheco also seeking $13,000 per month in child support.
