See Jesse Eisenberg As Lex Luthor: First Photo Revealed [Photo]

When it comes to Jesse Eisenberg’s role as Lex Luthor in the Batman v. Superman film, a lot has been shrouded in secrecy. Now, the first image of Eisenberg as the villainous character has been revealed.

Check out the first official image of Jesse as Lex below.

When it was announced that Eisenberg would take on the role, there was some back and forth on whether or not he would sport the famous bald look. From the looks of this picture it looks like he definitely has the bald look down to a T.

We knew under the direction of Zack Snyder that the Man of Steel director would have a completely different take on Lex Luthor, and while some details on the character’s description lead fans to believe that this Lex would be a modern depiction, we didn’t know how different he might be.

According to Snyder he tells Entertainment Weekly that Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor is unlike any seen on screen before. “He’s not any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure. Other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.”

Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio had his hand on the final screenplay thanks to friend Ben Affleck. Of the role, Eisenberg told Total Film magazine that stepping into the shoes of Lex was “complicated” and “challenging.”

The actor continued, “I got to know one of the writers really well, Chris Terrio, and we were able to discuss things at length and figure out who this person is to create a real psychology behind what is, perhaps, in a comic book, a less than totally modern psychology.”

As for how he got the role, the Social Network star said, “They asked me if I wanted to play the part before they sent me the script. “You know, they don’t just hand the scripts out.”
