Bethenny Frankel Reflects On Bryn’s Clothing Scandal: ‘I Thought It Was Sort Of Funny’

The Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel is known for being controversial as she speaks her mind without thinking sometimes. This is why Frankel has become such a famous reality star. And this is why many fans of The Real Housewives of New York are ready for her to come back on the show. But it isn’t just on television that Frankel tends to get in trouble.

Last year, Bethenny Frankel posted a picture of herself in her daughter’s pajamas. The picture quickly went viral, sadly because Bethenny could easily wear her 4-year-old daughter’s clothing. While Frankel didn’t mean anything by wearing her daughter’s clothing, the world turned against her, claiming she was sending a wrong message to young girls.

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel is now reflecting on the picture and how the world reacted. And Bethenny admits that she never meant for the picture to cause so much trouble. This weekend when she sat down with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Frankel shared her side of the story.

“I was at my house and [Bryn] said ‘Mommy put that on.’ And it was a joke, just like putting on a mask,” Bethenny Frankel has revealed about the picture, adding, “And I thought it was sort of funny. I didn’t realize it was going to be an international news scandal.”

Meghan McCain has called the photo “violently irresponsible,” but Frankel doesn’t seem to think it is so bad. Bethenny admitted that the harsh comments she received never really bothered her. Perhaps, Bethenny is very good at tuning things out.

“There are bad press things and you think, ‘Do I need this right now?’ And of course I didn’t need it,” Bethenny Frankel reveals, adding, “But it kept getting bigger. I couldn’t even believe it. I didn’t think it was that big of a deal.”

Frankel pointed out that her body is part of her image as she does have a business called SkinnyGirl. But maybe being so skinny isn’t sending the right message to her fans. It is interesting that such a picture could start such a massive scandal, especially since Frankel is often in the press. This week, her former best friend, Jill Zarin, lashed out at Frankel for lying about how she became a part of The Real Housewives of New York. This story has surfaced as Frankel is returning to The Real Housewives of New York, according to the Inquisitr.
