Soccer fans can watch the United States vs. Denmark game live online and see if Jurgen Klinsmann can get his team to rise to their first challenge of the 2018 World Cup cycle.
The United States Men's National Team is playing friendlies against some tough European competition, with the match against Denmark on Wednesday and a tilt against Switzerland at the end of the month.
The match starts at 3:15 p.m. ET from NRGi Park in Denmark.
Fans who watch the United States vs. Denmark soccer game live online will see the Danish squad at their best. The team just ended a long contract dispute with their players' union, meaning they will have the A-team when they visit the Americans.
"We applaud all and look forward to being able to concentrate on what it is really about – namely to play and talk football, and not conflict and money," said Danish coach Morton Olsen. "I am sure that the players feel the same way, and believe that they are very satisfied, and quite like everyone else is looking forward to being able to concentrate 100 percent on playing football again."
The American roster is generating some interest as well, with two heralded young players in Ventura Alvarado and William Yarbrough.
MLS Soccer noted some other roster moves.
"Klinsmann has spoken for months of calling in his top-strength squad for these two games, but a still managed to spring a few surprises when his roster was officially announced on Sunday. European-based regular Geoff Cameron was left off, as were World Cup veterans Matt Besler, Graham Zusi and Kyle Beckerman, while youngsters Julian Green, John Brooks and Rubio Rubin were called to the senior team despite being eligible for the U-23 group simultaneously convening under assistant coach Andi Herzog."Those who watch the United States vs. Denmark live online will not get to see goalkeeper Tim Howard, who turned in an unreal performance throughout the 2014 World Cup. Howard is taking a break from the men's team until the fall, but made it clear that he wants to be back for the next World Cup tournament.
"My muscles will be much more unforgiving," Howard said. "This group in 2014 inspired me to want to go to 2018 because the group was just amazing. The ride we went on was incredible and I want to be a part of that again, you know? It was special."
