‘Sharknado 3’ Cast: Film Will Include Kim Richards, Is She Quitting ‘RHOBH?’

The Sharknado 3 cast will include a Real Housewives star. According to a new interview, Beverly Hills’ Kim Richards landed a role in the upcoming Syfy movie, and recently wrapped filming.

Speaking to Hollywood Life on March 24, Richards revealed she had not heard of the Syfy movie prior to joining the Sharknado 3 cast.

“When they asked me I started asking around, ‘What is Sharknado?’ I hadn’t seen it. They were like, ‘Sharknado! Oh my gosh, are you thinking about doing Sharknado?’ And I said well, you know, I’m just asking the question. And everyone was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you have to do it. If you get the opportunity to do Sharknado, you have to do it.'”

Richards went on to say her experiences filming with the Sharknado 3 cast was enjoyable and “so fun.”

“The entire cast and crew has been an amazing experience for me.”

According to an Inquisitr report, Richards isn’t leaving her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, despite joining the Sharknado 3 cast. Although she and sister Kyle experienced a plethora of intense drama throughout season five, a source told Radar Online she has no plans of walking away from reality television.

“The feuding with Kyle doesn’t seem to faze Kim at all. The show is also only her only source of income, and Kim has bills to pay.”

While it is understandable that Richards would want to be a part of the Sharknado 3 cast, her role on reality television is a bit questionable because of all the drama it has led to within her family. Although Richards does receive a substantial paycheck for her role on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as she likely did for her part on the Sharknado 3 cast, being on the show appears to be at the cost of her relationship with Kyle — at least at this point.

During previous seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, season two in particular, Kim and Kyle were very close, and always stuck up for one another, but in recent years, a distance appears to have grown between them. Meanwhile, Richards has gotten closer to Glanville, with whom Kyle is on the outs.

Also included in the Sharknado 3 cast is Tara Reid, David Hasselhoff, Rick Fox, Mark Cuban, Cindy Margolis and Chris Jericho.

The Sharknado 3 cast makes their debut in Oh Hell No! on July 22, 2015 on Syfy.
