Proposal 34,000 Feet: Airline Pilot Proposes To Flight Attendant Girlfriend In Route To Juneau [Video]

A proposal at 34,000 feet is making headlines this week after an airline pilot asked his flight attendant girlfriend to marry him while on board a flight to Juneau. According to Yahoo! News, the pilot, who was off duty at the time, was hiding at the front of the plane. He took control of the loudspeaker, and told his love story to the passengers, and to his girlfriend who was working the flight.

“Brandy Hollenbeck, I’ve loved you since the moment I met you and I want to be the man for you for the rest of your life. Will you marry me?” asked Eric Greener. Taking a break from handing out drinks, Brandy headed up the aisle of the plane, and embraced her beau, accepting his proposal.

The proposal at 34,000 feet was met with applause, and tears of happiness. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, this proposal was planned pretty far in advance, and several people were in on the plan. Of course this all had to be explained to the proper personnel to ensure that everything went smoothly, but it was also important that the flight crew was aware what was going on, and when for safety reasons.

“Every other colleague of Eric, ranging from the co-pilots and fellow flight attendants to the gate keepers at the airport, were aware of the plan. With everyone in the loop, they managed to smuggle Eric into the cockpit without Hollenbeck’s knowledge,” the Inquisitr reported. The whole thing took less than two minutes, but changed two people’s lives forever.

The proposal at 34,000 feet wasn’t an easy task, but Eric pulled it off. According to the Canada Journal, it was a group effort, but everything ended up working out perfectly.

“We tried to keep her busy in the back of the plane during boarding so she wouldn’t see (her boyfriend) Eric board,” said friend RieAnn Fullwood. Check out the video above to see Eric pop the question.
