Catelynn Lowell Denies Tension With Carly’s Adoptive Parents
Catelynn Lowell and her fiancé, Tyler Baltierra, are not feuding with the adoptive parents of their first daughter, Carly. Despite rumors to the contrary, the Teen Mom couple claims all is well with Brandon and Teresa.
On March 23, the International Business Times revealed Catelynn Lowell had set the record straight on Twitter.
“All the c–p of ppl saying that Carlys parents are taking away communication from ty and I are all lies! Don’t always believe what u read!”
As the Inquisitr reported last week, Catelynn Lowell and Baltierra were said to be on the verge of being banned from their daughter’s life after reportedly refusing to abide by the rules of their adoption arrangement.
On March 18, a source revealed the following to In Touch Weekly.
“They’re not happy with Catelynn and Tyler’s behavior and refusal to follow the adoption rules. Obviously, Brandon and Teresa are upset. They’re getting more concerned about Carly being in the public eye as she gets older. The relationship is really strained.”
Catelynn Lowell and her fiancé, Baltierra, welcomed daughter Carly in May 2009 as cameras rolled for MTV’s 16 & Pregnant. Shortly after Carly’s arrival, she was adopted by Brandon and Teresa, a couple who were unable to conceive children of their own.
Since the adoption, Lowell and Baltierra have continued to be kept in the loop with their daughter’s life via photos and letters, and have also gotten to see her once each year. However, according to the rumors, Brandon and Teresa had grown upset over Lowell and Baltierra’s public persona, and how their daughter was tied to it.
Five years after the birth of Carly, Catelynn Lowell and Baltierra announced plans for a second child, revealing to In Touch Weekly that they were finally financially, and emotionally, ready to raise a child. Months later, on January 1, 2015, they welcomed second daughter Novalee Reign.
As they reality pair prepared for the birth of their second child, filming began on Teen Mom OG, and when the series begins airing, fans will get to see first-hand what they went through as they officially entered parenthood.
Also preparing to become a parent for the second time is Catelynn Lowell’s co-star, Maci Bookout, who will welcome a child with boyfriend Taylor McKinney in July.
Gary Shirley, also of Teen Mom, will welcome his second child this year, as well.
