WWE News: Could The Rock Show Up On ‘Raw’ To Confront Brock Lesnar?

Rumors have been flying around that The Rock could be back in a WWE ring by next year and face off with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32. Seeds have been planted for that feud in the last week, and it would seem like WWE may be heading in that direction. Is it too early to think that The Rock may actually end up in a WWE ring on Monday Night Raw tomorrow?

Things began with the taped interview with Lesnar from last week’s Raw. As WrestleZone remembers, actually brought up his rookie year and wrestling at SummerSlam 2002 when he defeated The Rock and took the WWE Undisputed Heavyweight Championship.

After that little quip, The Rock was asked about possibly facing off with Lesnar next year at WrestleMania 32. It appears as if it is something that The Great One is more than prepared to do, and thinks it could happen, as Bleacher Report stated.

“In Dallas? Possibly. There’s a lot of things that are up in the air. We’ll see. I would love that rematch. Whatever it is I think that you want to create something that is going to be special, memorable and especially in Dallas at that stadium and you have a shot at breaking the attendance record. It’s gotta be special.”

Now, there are some rumors and beliefs, such as from WrestleZone, that The Rock could show up on the go-home show of Monday Night Raw. When you think about it, that’s not really an idea that is overly out of the question.

Roman Reigns, the cousin of The Rock, is facing off with Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 31 in a week. Back in January, The Rock showed up at the Royal Rumble to back up Reigns and also celebrate with him after winning the main event spot.

Now, Lesnar mentions The Rock on Raw in the build-up for WrestleMania. The Rock responds in a big interview about how it would be great to face off with Lesnar and get a rematch for his loss over a decade ago.

If Rock shows up on Monday night, that would not only add some more babyface cred to Reigns, but it would get things rolling for next year. Lesnar is likely to take a bit of time off (win or lose) after WrestleMania if he ends up staying with WWE. Rock showing up now would get that out of the way and have it planted in everyone’s mind.

More fans would probably tune into the big event on Sunday because there is now the possibility of The Rock showing up to save or help his cousin.

For now, this is all speculation, but seeing The Rock on Monday Night Raw may not be totally out of the question. It would make the build for WrestleMania 31 that much bigger and get the ball rolling for Rock versus Brock Lesnar next year.

Hey, it worked with Rock against John Cena.
