Chris Brown No Longer Under Probation After Brutal Rihanna Beating

In 2009, the world saw horrific pictures of an abused Rihanna who was attacked by her then-boyfriend, Chris Brown. The event hurt Chris Brown’s career, but didn’t destroy it. Rihanna’s career continued to thrive as a lot of people felt sorry for her. Chris Brown was put on probation after the event and now, the Huffington Post reports that Chris Brown’s probation period has ended.

“Chris Brown has finally put his 2009 attack on Rihanna behind him, at least legally. Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin ended Brown’s felony probation on Friday, more than six years after the R&B singer brutally attacked his then-girlfriend hours before the Grammy Awards. The attack erased Brown’s squeaky clean image, which he has failed to regain in the ensuing years after incidents such as throwing a chair through a window after a contentious ‘Good Morning America’ interview and a parking lot brawl with singer Frank Ocean.”

One has to at least give credit to Chris Brown for taking responsibility as a father and having a visit with his love child, whose name is Royalty. The New York Daily News reported on the reunion.

“The 9-month old, believed to be the R&B star’s daughter, was pictured for the first time when she and her mother Nia Guzman-Amey were seen at Brown’s tour bus in Houston on Monday. The baby was seen visiting the ‘Forever’ singer, accompanied by her mother and her half-sister. The trio were picked up by limo from their Houston hotel and brought to Brown’s tour bus, where Brown spent time with the little girl.”

According to HIPHOP DX, Chris Brown says he is trying to to counter the bad publicity he has received.

“I feel like the only thing that’s highlighted in my career for the last five years is my negativity. But only thing I can do is put my positive music out and do what I do. And be great at that. That’s the only thing that has been successful is the music. And people can’t deny an undeniable hit … I’m not gonna sit there and say I’m a saint, but I definitely say a lot of the choices I made in the past reflect now.”

It’s obvious that despite sensationalist articles, Rihanna doesn’t hold much against Chris Brown since she has been seen with him on and off for the past five years. Do you think Chris Brown should be given another chance by the public? Let us know in the comments section.
