Potential Post-‘Age Of Ultron’ Avengers Lineup Revealed [Rumor]

It’s no secret that Avengers: Age Of Ultron is bound to bring some big changes to The Avengers lineup. Change was inevitable. The group couldn’t consist of the standard six forever. The increasing fame of many of the core actors would wreak havoc on Disney’s pocket book, and even more important, audiences would get bored of the same folks showing up for each team-up flick. And let’s not forget the fact that Avengers:Age Of Ultron is being directed by Joss Whedon, the king of killing off loved characters. If there was no change coming from anyone else, Whedon would be the one forcing it through the death of loved ones.

But what kind of changes can we expect at the end of Avengers: Age Of Ultron?

This may go without saying, but if you don’t want to potentially be spoiled, do not read ahead.

Iron Man and Captain America
Iron Man, Ultron, and Captain America from Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

Super Hero News is reporting, based on an “exclusive” and anonymous (read: unconfirmed) source, the Avengers lineup at the end of the film will be as follows: Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, and The Vision–with Captain America and Black Widow serving as the leaders of the batch of heroes.

So what happens to the rest of the supers that leads them away from the Avengers team? Well, Badass Digest has exclusive info based on a draft of the Age Of Ultron script they’ve read. It’s important to stress that none of this is confirmed, and that anything could have happened between script drafts.

“Captain America and Nick Fury put together a new team, missing most of the big solo guns. Iron Man is done, Hulk is missing and Thor has returned to Asgard to deal with the events leading up to Thor: Ragnarok.”

You’ll notice a very specific Avenger, namely Quicksilver, is absent from all of these explanations. The reason for this? Well, let’s just say, according to rumors from Super Hero News, that Age Of Ultron won’t be his finest day in the sun.

Civil War
Will Captain America: Civil War split the Avengers even further?

While the lineup will be changed by the end of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, it’s a wonder if that lineup will remain intact for Captain America: Civil War. The synopsis for Civil War is as follows.

“Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.”

Will the new Avengers side with Cap this time around, or will it polarize the group from within. And who will be left to side with Iron Man?

Only time will tell.
