Bobbi Kristina Rehabilitation Center Move Despite Coma: Bobby Brown Faces Heartbreaking Life Support Decision

Since Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unconscious in her home on January 31, she has remained in a hospital on life support, but now physicians have determined she is sufficiently stable to be moved to a rehabilitation center. That change in environment for the 22-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown comes only after spending weeks in a medically induced coma, according to Us Weekly.

And that situation has not changed as she leaves Emory University Hospital. Dependent on life support measures such as a breathing tube and feeding mechanisms, Bobbi Kristina experienced violent seizures when physicians attempted to end her coma in February.

But the family remains hopeful, said an insider, who emphasized that the young woman is surrounded by family praying for her recovery.

“Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family.”

But the coma remains a matter for concern for both family and Nick Gordon, who has been blocked from seeing Bobbi Kristina. Nick tweeted his plea for Bobbi Kristina to “wake up” from the coma before he entered rehab after an interview with TV psychologist Dr. Phil turned into an intervention.

Gordon was raised with Bobbi Kristina as the unofficial adopted son of Whitney Houston, before the two became live-in lovers. But although she claimed that they were married via social media, Bobby Brown has been adamant that no legal marriage occurred.

Nick has become the subject of multiple controversies, with Bobbi Kristina’s family accusing him of everything from being responsible for her current health crisis to providing her with illegal drugs such as heroin, as the Inquisitr reported.

In his interview, Dr. Phil confirmed that Gordon was using both drugs and alcohol.

“[Gordon was] clearly in an altered state of consciousness. I asked him if he was sober, and he said ‘No,'” said Dr. Phil firmly.

But insiders claimed that Bobbi Kristina had been using drugs on that fateful morning of January 31, potentially resulting in or exacerbating the unconscious state in which she was found. And in addition to abetting her drug use, relatives of Bobbi Kristina have accused Gordon of foul play.

In particular, her aunt Leolah Brown attacked Nick on her Facebook page in a plea to Dr. Phil not to air the show.

“Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobbi Kristina Brown. We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit.”

In response to Nick’s repeated pleas to see Bobbi Kristina, Bobby’s lawyers issued a statement listing certain requirements that Gordon must meet, reported People.

Gordon’s lawyers then responded, stating that they had recommended he not agree to those requirements.

“Per his own words, Mr. Brown has only ‘offered an opportunity to potentially meet with Bobbi Kristina’ if Nick were to meet certain conditions, conditions that we, his attorneys, have advised him not to meet, particularly in light of Mr. Brown’s inability to guarantee access.”

However, in addition to Leolah’s claims, a family insider revealed additional news from the ongoing police investigation.

“Foul play is being investigated,” confirmed that source. “Drug use and possibly cover-up to remove evidence from the crime scene.”

As that investigation plays out, Cissy Houston remains by her granddaughter’s side, reported Entertainment Tonight.

Although Bobby Brown bears the burden of the decision as to turning off all life support, he has gathered family members to voice their own views and come to grips with the reality of her situation. Although the continuation of the coma does facilitate oxygen to her heart and brain, remaining indefinitely on life support means that a full recovery becomes less probable or even possible.

And for these family members, who felt helpless as Whitney Houston died after being discovered in similar circumstances, the knowledge that they could lose their battle to save Bobbi Kristina is resulting in ongoing heartbreak.
