Fake iPhones being returned to various TELUS stores in Canada

A while back there were reports of iPads being returned to Best Buy stores that turned out to be fake but this is the first time that I have heard of the same type of thing being done with iPhones.

It would appear that some customers in Canada have been heading back to TELUS store and under the guise of buyers remorse returning their iPhones, except it turns out that what is being returned are in fact fact iPhones.

While there is no official word from TELUS as to how widespread the problem internal documents from the company states that this has been happening at “various locations”.

As you can tell from the two sets of images the fake iPhone 4S has several major differences from the real thing. The display is lighter, the back cover comes off, and the mute button is hard to flip.

It never ceases to amaze how ingenious people can be when it comes to ripping off companies and other people.
