One man wanted a woman to know that his “chivalry” comes with a price. However, his steep demands have landed him behind bars. According to the Palm Beach Post, 26-year-old Justin Jarrard Oliver is facing battery charges after he allegedly assaulted a woman when she refused to have sex with him.
The unnamed woman stated that she and her boyfriend picked Oliver up. It is unclear how he as acquainted with the couple, but he reportedly purchased the woman’s breakfast from a local McDonald’s restaurant. The seemingly nice gesture would normally be commendable, but apparently Oliver had ulterior motives.
After purchasing the woman’s breakfast, he demanded sex because he’d spent his money on her food. When she refused to grant Oliver’s request, he reportedly became enraged. According to the police report, he “grabbed her by the arm/hand and attempted to pull her into the rear seat for sex.” The woman reportedly fought back and was able to maintain control of the vehicle despite Oliver’s efforts to pull her to the back seat. Once she managed to bring the vehicle to a halt, Oliver attempted to pull the woman from the car yet again. He reiterated his demands once again, but to no avail. That’s when the verbal disagreement escalated to a physical altercation.
“Oliver allegedly punched the woman with his fist, causing ‘severe injuries’ that included a 1 1/2-inch laceration above her left eye and numerous other cuts and abrasions, the report said.”
Fortunately, the woman’s boyfriend intervened and diffused the altercation. However, no further details about the woman’s injuries have been released. Later that day, Oliver was found near the scene of the altercation and he was arrested.
He is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail with bail set at $75,000. He has been charged with felony battery and false imprisonment.
