Kym Johnson, Robert Herjavec Dating On ‘DWTS’: ‘Shark Tank’ Star Waltzes To Happiness After Near-Suicide

Amid rumors that Dancing with the Stars pro Kym Johnson and rumba novice Robert Herjavec are dating, the Shark Tank star wants to make one concern clear. He’s waltzed away from the dark days when he seriously thought about suicide after his split from his wife, reported People.

At 51, Robert says that his darkest hours came just after the couple had filed for separation. He was standing on a hotel room balcony. As he looked out on the Toronto skyline, Herjavec now admits he really considered leaping to a certain death.

“I just wanted to end it,” confessed the Shark Tank star and now-beaming Dancing with the Stars leading man to Kym.

“It’s been a terribly difficult year,” he adds. “We were great parents and a great team, but over time we drifted apart.”

Robert and Diane Plese were married for 24 years. With three children, Herjavec was hit hard when his family stopped speaking with them.

“Everyone has their kryptonite. For me, it was my kids. It took me to a place I never thought I would go.”

At the last minute, before he jumped from that balcony, he sought guidance from his pastor. John McAuley directed him to help others by going to Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. Although it was a long way both physically and mentally from that dark place in a Toronto hotel room, Robert summed up the courage to go to the shelter, which is designed to provide both long-term and emergency help for those who are without homes and, in many cases, also without hope.

After spending more than two weeks at the shelter, Robert found a new way to recover from his depression when the DWTS producers invited him to appear on the show.

He’s now devoting eight hours daily to dancing with his partner Kym.

“I went into this really petrified,” confessed the Shark Tank star. “But now I’m thinking, ‘I got this.’ But we’ll see.”

But what Robert’s “got” may be a crush on Kym as well as waltz wisdom, according to the Hollywood Gossip.

In addition to those eight hours inside the practice room, the dancing duo dated over the weekend, even indulging in some PDA on those dates.

As Dancing with the Stars continues, who else should you keep your eye on to take home the Mirror Ball Trophy?
