Romney’s Google Problem Quickly Climbing Up SEO Rankings

What does it mean to Romney? According to Google, Romney is a verb that means “to defecate in terror.” Romney’s Google problem has been quickly ascended Google’s page ranks and is currently listed as the 5th highest result.

Last year, Dan Savage started SpreadingSantorum.com in an attempt to redefine Rick Santorum’s last name. Santorum’s Google problem, which in a bit more graphic than Romney’s, is currently Google’s top search result for the term “Santorum.”

And in case you were wondering, Santorum is “the frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex.”

Savage made his SpreadingSantorum.com page in retaliation to some of the Senator’s comments about gay people. Santorum said:

“[I have] a problem with homosexual acts, as I would with what I would consider to be acts outside of traditional heterosexual relationships . . . if the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual [gay] sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery.”

The SpreadingRomney.com page wasn’t created by Savage, but instead, by Jack Shepler of an Indianapolis Design firm. Shepler said:

“I’m not associated with any campaigns. I made it to be funny, and to make a point, and I believe it did just that.”

The SpreadingRomney.com page links to a Huffington Post article that describes an incident in 1983 when Mitt Romney tied the family dog to the roof of his car.

SpreadingRomney.com is a brand new site. According to Newser, the site went live a month ago on January 10th and is already one of the highest ranking results for “Romney.” Do you think the new definition of Romney will reach the number one spot in Google?
